Salon-de-Provence

Where to eat in Salon-de-Provence: our favourite tables near the house

Published on 1 September 2026 · 2 min read

A starred table, an Italian bistro on the mossy fountain, home cooking on a pedestrian street: the places we book for our guests.

All these addresses are in the centre of Salon-de-Provence, a few minutes on foot from number 33. Just tell us the time and the number of guests and we will book for you.

For a memorable dinner

  • Villa Salone — the Michelin-starred table of chef Alexandre Lechêne, with its bistro L'Atelier Salone open for lunch Tuesday to Saturday. Book several days ahead.
  • La Page Blanche — French cooking made entirely in house, fresh seasonal produce, on a quiet pedestrian street near the Château de l'Empéri.

For a simple meal on a terrace

  • Trattoria Salone — an Italian bistro from the same starred chef, right on place de la Fontaine Moussue: pasta, Italian classics and one of the loveliest terraces in town.
  • Brasserie Chez Mus — generous bistro cooking and a terrace in the heart of Salon, ideal for lunch or an aperitif.
  • L'Endroit — a town-centre restaurant with a terrace, open evenings (closed Tuesday) and weekend lunchtimes.
  • L'Olivier — traditional French cooking and a delicatessen counter, towards Pélissanne, for an easy family meal.

Market days and aperitifs

On Wednesday mornings, the big market along cours Gimon and the allées de Craponne has everything for dinner in your kitchenette: goat cheeses, olives from the Baux valley, tomatoes, rosé from the Coteaux d'Aix. In the early evening, the terraces on the allées and place Morgan are the natural place for a drink before dinner.

Opening days and hours shift with the season, so we always check before booking.
